Amanda, of Melanted Boho Bae and Kate is a funky knitting phenomenon. Amanda loves all things fiber, beauty and color. Today, in addition to her fabulous boho art yarn and innovative knitting styles, she’s also the lifestock manager of Stony Creek Farmstead. Stony Creek is a three generation family farm that raises meat, eggs and veggies according to free range, beyond organic practices. Join Amanda to knit your very own chunky art yarn hat, made with wool from Stony Creek’s own sheep. This chunky hat knits up super quick on size 15 needles and just the thing you need for the Catskill Mountains. After a quick knitting session, you will have a chance to learn about the farm, how the famous art yarn came to be and have a chance to ask all your burning questions.

Casapinka is a knitwear designer who loves bright colors and airplanes. Her patterns are usually on the simple side, letting the beautiful yarn do the work, with slipped stitches and texture being two of her favorites. She hates cheese and owns a cat named "Sharon from Security" who is bad at her job and may get fired. She has two nerdy kids who love robotics and competitive Rubik's Cubing (yes, that's a thing) and a husband who has never begrudged her love of yarn.

Laura Nelkin is a prolific and innovative knitwear designer, known for her complex yet accessible designs that challenge knitters to think about their stitches in new and exciting ways. Her designs incorporate beads and lace and take inspiration from her home in New York’s Finger Lakes. Laura’s fascination with fiber led her to study apparel and textile design at Cornell University. About 15 years ago she learned how to knit, and 5 of those years were spent as the Design Director at Schaefer Yarn Company. Laura has created an extensive line of self-published patterns, knitting clubs, kits, knit-a-longs, and online classes through Craftsy and YouTube. Thanks to the magic of video, Laura makes sure that no knitter is ever left behind! Beyond work, Laura loves adding to her handmade wardrobe, gardening, cooking and exploring the great outdoors
